Go vegan.
It is no coincidence that every vegan you meet will tell you that their only regret with veganism is that they did not do it sooner. I will never stop talking about how much better I feel physically and mentally since beginning my vegan lifestyle, and it is still the one consistent part of my life that never changes: No matter what happens, I would never go back to eating meat or consuimg animal products.
If veganism as a whole feels too extreme for you at the moment, then I would seriously recommend cutting out meat from your diet. As someone who made the transition to veganism in stages, I fully appreciate that the slow approach still makes a huge difference and makes the transition feel far easier to navigate than trying to figure it all out in one day. I went vegetarian at 16, and I think this was the biggest change physically and mentally that I saw: I lost a lot of weight, but I also found that my energy levels were more consistent, food actually made me feel satisfied, and any bloat or discomfort following a meal disappeared. My skin and my hair improved, and I actually started to feel a lot more comfortable in my own body, largely because I had cut out the biggest food group that made me feel so much conflict and moral turmoil.
Whilst I do believe that everyone would benefit from a vegan lifestyle, I do fully appreciate that not every single person will be able to make the full shift, nor make that shift overnight. Which is why I hope my little blog can help you along that journey, where you can easily see what has worked for me and start your own journey to find out what products you like, what you don’t, and how these changes can fit into your current lifestyle and way of living.
