Look at my squash!
The first one from my current vegetable patch to be harvested. I had initially thought I would let it get a bit more even in the overall shape, but then I learnt that they actually taste far better the smaller they are, so this one had to come off.
A friend of mine however did point out that it looks a little bit like a little goose, so now I feel a little bad for having to cut it up and roast it. Although I am hopeful that the other squashes that follow are a little but less….bulbous.
