These were an odd find in my local Home Sence store, but they were labelled as vegan and therefore I felt the need to at least try them. I had thought they would be a good breakfast option for days I am in the office for work, as they are individually wrapped and seem like a good option for a quick breakfast.
It is probably obvious to everyone that these are very processed. The brioche itself is tasty with that subtle sweetness of brioche, and the caramel sauce in the middle is tasty but also very artificially so. Whilst it is a quick breakfast, it is obviously not the healthiest or most nutrionally packed one.
But that doesn’t mean it was bad though – as I said these little brioche buns are tasty enough and tasted how you would expect a pre-packaged pastry to taste. They did make for some nice breakfasts and helped break up my usual eating habits, so that was good enough for me.
As you can see, this packet cost ÂŁ3.30 and it had 4 brioche buns inside the packet. As someone who works mostly remotely at home, this packet therefore lasted me 2 weeks of office visits, but if you are in the office more than 2 times a week it is obvious that this would only last about a week. The upside (or downside I guess, depending on how you look at it) is that this was found in a Homes Sense store, which usually means it is a see it once and then never again for another few months, so is unlikely to be something you buy on a regular basis unless your local store just happens to have a lot of stock! I would likely pick these up again if I saw some in stock, but I don’t think I will go out of my way to try and find the product online.
