Candy Kittens Disco Dreams

A new find! I am a big fan of Candy Kittens, and usually don’t get tired of what they offer, however I was starting to get a little grumpy that I only had the same two options to choose from at any of my local shops. So you can all imagine the little excited squeak I let out when I saw this pretty little packet appear on the shelves recently.

As expected, these Candy Kitten candies are your standard chewy candies – very similar to a foam candy rather than a gummy candy, which I do prefer as I find gummy candies always glue my mouth shut with how sticky they are. But as a warning, these things do not mess around when they say ‘sour’ candies.

Now I personally LOVE a sour candy, so I was very much in my element with these. But even I have to admit that these candies made me pull quite a few faces whilst eating them with just how tart these candies are. They are still very tasty, with very fruity flavours in the actual candy themslves, but the sour sugar really does knock you back a bit! Just a word of warning if you are not someone who actually enjoys sour candies.

As with all Candy Kittens, these are a bit expensive. This packet cost £2.70, which seems to be it’s reatil price across the different shops. There are multipack deals available at some places, but these candies are more expensive than other canies. I do think they are worth it though, as they are one of the few cnady companies that doesn’t have an odd grainy texture to their gummy candies. These are soft and chewy, and you would not be able to tell that these are vegan unless you really looked at the product packaging. I could eat a whole packet by myself in one sitting, which is also why I don’t tend to buy them that often, hence why £2.70 every month or so is a justifiable purchase for myself.
