What’s a moment when you realized you were officially an adult?
Recently, it has shocked me how excited I am about very mundane things in my house. I got an air fryer about a year ago and I am STILL super impressed with it everyday. And don’t even get me started on how good my new vaccuum cleaner is.
I think becomming an adult simply means finding those little things in life that just make life a little easier: easier cooking, easier cleaning, comfier chairs to sit in, tastier food for meals. I know in the grand scheme of things, my air fryer is a pretty mundane appliance, but I also know that if it ever broke I would replace it as quickly as possible and wouldn’t even check the cost.
On another note, I genuinely started a sentence the other day at work with ‘when I was your age’, and I needed to just stare at the coffee machine for a few minutes to realise that I am now undeniably an adult.
