The English Spring season is usually one of tempermental weather: Lots of wind, lots of rain, and somedays lots of sunshine and heat. Often all 3 in one day – even in one hour! So whilst I have been trying to start my own little garden of pretty flowers, and to take up a hobby that is not staring at a screen, I was not hopeful that the rain and the strong winds would actually help any of my plants to grow. I still expect to wake up each morning to see most of my plant pots thrown across the garden due to high winds overnight.

I was therefore very excited to find these two gorgeous blooms! You can see in the photo that whilst it has been raining, these blooms appear to be doing pretty well. We shall see how long this lasts…

EDIT: They lasted a whole week before a very windy storm finally knocked both blooms off of the plant. The plant (and all of my plants actually) are still intact, so hopefully more blooms will follow soon!
