We haven’t even had Halloween yet and the Christmas goodies are already starting to appear in shops! I don’t tend to think about Christmas until November, but I am also a sucker for gingerbread so I am always on the look out for gingerbread anything even if it is not Christmas time. These Oreos therefore had to be taken home and tried, although it is odd to be feeling ‘Christmassy’ so early in the year.

Oreos are always a winner in my books and these gingerbread cookies are no different. I had pretty low expectation for these, as I do for most holiday gimmick food flavourings, but these are actually very strong in the flavour department. The gingerbread is the right mix of sweet and spicy, and the cream filling is a very lovely offset for the heat of the ginger. It absolutely does taste just like a gingerbread man. if you are however looking for a subtle gingerbread, this is not it.

These Oreos were 90p from my local Sainsbury’s which is on par with how much a pack of Oreos tend to cost. Which is nice, as it means there isn’t a holiday tax placed onto them. I believe in a pack you get around 10 cookies, but I would also be lying if I said that I had ever counted. I could also eat a whole packet in one sitting so…maybe not the best judge of value when it comes to Oreos!
