Lush snow Fairy body scrub

I really am on the Snow Fairy hype at the moment, but this is my favourite product and it is one of my highlights of winter every year. I was very excited to see that a new product has also been released, and of course I had to try it.

Snow Fairy always smells so good – it smells like candy floss, and I personally cannot get enough of it. Every year I usually buy the shower gel, but I am trying to expand my overall skincare routine and am starting to experiment with body care too. Hence why this body scrub was purchased as soon as I saw it.

I tend to have quite dry skin, especially in winter, so I have found that a lot of body scrubs are too harsh for my skin. Whilst I know that a good exfoliator is necessary for skin health, I do find that most body scrubs I have used just leave my skin very dried out and very red – and I do try very hard to be gentle!

This scrub is so gentle! It is just rough enough to feel grainy, but more like sugar rather than sand. It melts away with water and does leave a very subtle shimmer to my skin along with the very subtle candy smell, plus it leaves my skin feeling very hydrated.

Lush is always a more expensive option out there when it comes to bath and beauty products, but I do think it is worth it. Whilst I don’t buy Lush too often, I know that anything I do buy will be very good quality and will last me a long time. This body scrub was £6 for the smallest tub they do, but you can buy the larger tub for £20. You do not need a lot of product to get a good result, and so I don’t imagine this little tub will last me a month, at least, assuming I am not using it every single day.

  1. The scrub is described as gentle for dry skin, but what about sensitive or eczema-prone skin? Could even sugar based scrubs irritate more delicate skin? You didn’t mention about other skin types.

    1. Thank you for the feedback! I admit I had not thought about other skin types. I don’t have sensitive skin, so don’t really think I can comment on how different skin could react. I would welcome any insight others may have though!
