My phone. I honestly don’t think I could actively function in modern society without my phone on me.
I guess on the other hand though it could be debated whether a phone even still counts as a ‘luxury’ in this day and age, since it seems impossible to do anything these days without needing a phone: banking, shopping, even aspects of my work require me to have a smartphone so I can answer emails whilst away from a laptop or computer, or I need a particular app to manage my car insurance. Even my GP wants me to have an app so I can view all of my appointments in one place.
But I still think that a smart phone is a luxury, because I remember growing up without one and how excited I was to get my first mobile phone. I say ‘mobile’ phone loosely because at this time my phone was a super old Nokia brick phone that could only store about 5 text messages and didn’t show colour.
I did love the snake game though…
