This was a flavour released back in 2007, however as 2025 marks the 50th Anniversary of the rock band Queen, it has been released. It was released to coincide with Veganuary, however it is not a Veganuary exclusive. Which is great news for me because I have only just managed to find a tub of this near me!

Ben & Jerry’s does not miss with their flavours. Whilst I have my favourites, I know that any option from Ben & Jerry’s is going to be a great choice. This is no exception and is easily one of my top 3 flavours now. I also appreciate that the ingredients are all Fair Trade, and all of the packaging is plant based and recyclable. Whilst preparing for this post, I also found out that revenue from sales of Bohemian Raspberry is used to support the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity established in memory of Freddie Mercury to combat AIDS globally. It is nice to know that my purchases have an impact elsewhere rather than just in the food market.

The non-dairy ice cream is oat based, which means that it is safe for any nut allergies as so many non-dairy options often use almond or peanut. The ice cream is super creamy and has that nice and simple vanilla flavouring to it. There are raspberry swirls throughout that are a lovely tart taste, and make the ice cream taste like raspberry ice cream, which I am a big fan of. The fudge pieces are nice and gooey, although if I was to make one criticism I think that the more solid fudge pieces (similar to those used in the fudge brownie flavour) would have added a very nice crunchy texture to this ice cream. But either way, the brownies are rich chocolate and add a lovely additional flavour to this.
It is insanely moreish, in that I could easily eat this entire tub in one sitting. But then I do find that most Ben & Jerry’s flavours tend to be insanely moreish because they are just so darn tasty! I don’t really have anything negative to say about this flavour though – it is delicious and it also a wonderful spring flavour to welcome in the warmer weather. Easily one of my top three flavours so highly recommend if you do manage to find a tub!

Ben & Jerry’s is one of the most expensive options out there, with all of their flavours having a cost of around £5.50 depending on where you shop. Due to the cost, I only really buy Ben & Jerry’s for special occasions, but I do think that it is worth the £5.50 price tag because every single flavour will be delicious. I did manage to pick this particular tub up though for £3 as it was discounted with my Tesco Clubcard, but I would definitely buy this at full price.
