Another day in the office means another very quick meal. Unfortunately I work in one of those industries where the run up to the Christmas and festive period is actually super busy, because everyone has a panic that the end of the year is fast approaching and suddenly all of these deadlines are now super duper urgent. So I have had to work through a few lunches in order to get things finished prior to the festive period. Which is why fast and easy meals are my main go to at the moment so I don’t have to spend too much time cooking something, but also small enough to make it easy to carry into work with me.

These noodles are very similar to the curry flavoured noodles I tried last week. Again, these were tasty enough, but the noodles did have that slightly uncooked texture to them which can be a bit off putting if you have never had high protein carb sources before. Personally, it doesn’t bother me enough to really take away from the overall food, but I still raise it as I know this sort of texture could be a bit alarming to some. Taste wise, these taste very similar to your standard Pot Noodle chicken and mushroom flavour. So if you like the taste of instant noodle pots, these are a great option if you just want something simple and easy that gets you fed. There isn’t really much more to say about these – I think I did prefer the curry flavoured noodles purely from a flavour standpoint, as I do find the chicken and mushroom to be quite bland a flavour, but bland doesn’t mean bad and it was definitely tasty enough to get my through a hectic work day. I do find that the high protein content of the noodles means that these do make me feel fuller for longer than other instant noodles I have had, which may also be something to consider if you want something that is going to keep you feeling full when you have a busy day ahead.

As with the previous flavour, this noodle pot cost £1.50, which is slightly on the higher end of the instant noodle market. But £1.50 is still a very reasonable price if you need something light and quick to have during your lunch, or even as a quick snack during your day. I’m not sure I would buy these too often, as they are still arguably not the healthiest lunch option compared to the home made lunches I usually make, but they are very helpful to have in a pinch when I just don’t feel like meal prepping or know that I am going to have a busy day and I want something hearty and warm to get me through.
