Halloween is fast approaching, and whilst here in the UK halloween is not really celebrated, I am always looking for an excuse to eat lots of candy and watch spooky movies. I am always in the mood for the spooky, the creepy, and the ‘spoopy’ – this is a new phrase I learnt that apparently refers to spooky but cute things, like ghosts holding little mugs of hot chocolate or super fuzzy bat decorations. Like kawaii scares. So if you are also celebrating, or just want some advice about the best vegan sweet options out there, here is my list for my personal favourites.
In no particular order:
- Sour Patch Kids watermelons (I believe in the US regular sour patch kids may be vegan, but not here in the UK)
- Blueberry Bon Bons
- Starbursts
- Skittles
- Percy Pig Sweets (and his many friends)
- Strawberry laces (Lidl and Tesco have own brand versions that are vegan friendly)
- Haribo rainbow strips
- Candy Kittens – Shokz and Sour Watermelon are my favourites but all options are very good!
