I saw this blog prompt and knew I had to answer it. I have the ultimate non-answer and that is, in all honesty, both. If my husband surprised me with a cat or a dog I would weep with excitement. I would also be the same though with any other animal too.
Literally any animal and I will love them. My husband knows that if he was to turn up at the house with an alligator I would still try and make room in the house for them. Maybe not on a permanent basis, but they could live in my bathroom until a alligator sanctuary turns up.
I do find however that this sort of a question is a personality question more than an actual preference. I find you can normally spot a dog person or a cat person upon meeting them. It’s like a vibe you get from someone. Then of course you have people like me – and no doubt like you guys too – who will happily take in and care for whatever animal is in need at any given time.
