This whole week I have been looking at ways to make sure that your rabbit is able to live their best lives and to provide you guys from some advice that I have picked up over the years that I have been a bunny parent myself. Of course these are not exhaustive – even I am still finding new things to improve my rabbit’s life with and as a society we are constantly learning how to take better care of animals. Therefore whilst these blogs are a good starting point, I will make sure to keep these all up to date with any new information that becomes available.
But if all of this has made you think about getting a rabbit for the first time, I want to direct you to a post I did last year about the Pros and Cons of Owning a Rabbit. Rabbits are wonderful, adorable and charming little creatures, but they can also be high maintenance, territorial and very skittish creatures that require a lot of patience and a lot of love to truly settle. I would not change my rabbit for the world – she is perfect to me and even her few imperfections make her even more loveable in my eyes – but I think it is very important to raise awareness about what owning a rabbit truly involves. It is then for you decide whether you think that a rabbit is a responsibility that you want to take on.
