Not animal welfare or vegan focused, but it is another one of my biggest passions. I have always loved writing and in 2020 I really started to take my writing a bit more seriously and to make time for a hobby of mine that inspires me. It provides me with an escape from the everyday and it is also so nice to be creative once again.
I joined the Hertfordshire Writing Group after joining them for National Novel Writing Month in 2021. Not only is the group a great way to hold me accountable to my writing goals and dreams, but every member is lovely and we spend every session having a good chat about everything and anything. Last year, we decided to finally take a big plunge and write an anthology series to be published.
We took the word ‘photograph’ and each of us wrote a story based on that word. It is very interesting how each of us took a totally different approach to it based on our own preferred writing style, and as a result the genres are very wide. The stories range from thriller, to romance, to sci-fi to murder mystery and historical fiction. All of them are completely different and each of them are a delight to read.
