This summer in England was borderline unbearable, and I am sad to say that we discovered ice lollies far too late into summer. I do think though that we hit the jackpot with the ice lolly selection. It is now starting to cool down here in England and the temperature is starting to inch back into the low teens, but I think these ice lollies will remain a staple in our household moving forward.

As the box suggest, these are raspberry smoothie ice lollies. As such they have a smoothie texture, in that they are almost like ice cream rather than the hard ice of ice lollies. Plus, while calories are absolutely not important, each lolly is only 77 calories which is WAY less than most ice cream options out there. So these have been great at helping us cool down in the evenings without us feeling like we are consuming more than we need to.
For starters these are delicious. The raspberry flavouring is strong and sharp, and really wakes you up. As with raspberries, they are sweet but also have that sharp tartness to them, and these ice lollies are no exception. They literally do taste like a fruit smoothie and are very refreshing indeed.

They are also a pretty decent size. You only get 3 to a packet though so the £2 price tag is a little skewed. I would almost say that the ice lolly is a little too big but I also find that one is more than enough to satisfy any sugar cravings you may have after dinner. I don’t think I could eat more than one in one sitting, but having only 3 to a packet means that for a family of 2 people they do not last long in the household.
